This print of Richmond Lodge, Queen Caroline's country retreat, shows the building's unusual façade with is triangular pediment flanked by circular windows, overlooking a large lawn occupied by courtiers and gardeners. Owing to its pleasant location, Caroline developed a particular affection for the lodge and gardens at Richmond.
