A birdeye's view of Edinburgh, with the castle on the left and the Palace of Holyroodhouse at the right of the sheet. There is a dedication in Latin at lower left and a key at lower right. The print is dedicated to Sir Archibald Tod (1584-1656) who served as Provost of Edinburgh. Four other men are also listed in the dedication. No. 33 on the key is 'The palace of holy-rood-hous with the South and North gardens'. For a view of Edinburgh by Hollar see (RCIN 805283).
