A wood carving of an anthropomorphic killer whale, named Klee Wyck (laughing one), coloured black, white and red, with one fin pointing vertically upwards, the head curving towards tail. This was the official mascot for the XV Commonwealth Games, held in Victoria, Canada, 1994.
Harris Smith (1942-2005) was an artist from the Kwakwaka'wakw First Nations cultural group. He signed his work with the name Lalkawilas ('Chief Who Feasts the People til Morning').Provenance
