Robe sword: gold hilt, quillons, large tang button, gold grip, pommel. Sides of pommel, grip, quillons all plain and burnished. Rest of sword with cast and chiselld decoration: acanthus, Tudor rose, foliage, cartouches, floral sprays, laurel and Britannia etc. Double-edged blade, wooden scabbard, covered with black leather, gold mouthpiece and square chape decorated en suite to sword.
Provenance
Sword taken from Coronation regalia of King George IV and was placed in Windsor Armoury by command of His Majesty King Edward VII in 1902.
