An uncoloured print of a bust of the actor, David Garrick that is crowned with a laurel wreath by the figures of Comedy and Tragedy that flank the bust. Putti stand at the feet of the muses, one laughing whilst the other points a dagger at its stomach. Print cut down.
Provenance
Probably acquired as part of a job lot of theatrical prints for George IV's extra-illustrated 'History of the Stage', and retaining the orange mount associated with this project
