Algerian silver and partly gilt powder flask: bulbous wood body, long partly octagonal neck covered with silver mounts; the whole chased with foliate scrolls, palmettes and flowers; the body with central pierced band of flowers and circular reserves. Stopper held by chains with eight coral beads. The silver mounts stamped with Algerian control marks.

Sent to George IV when Prince Regent by the Dey of Algiers and presented by the Algerian Ambassador, Aly Capudon, on 20 May 1819
