  • A Malaysian kris with a plain double-edged blade and brown wooden handle carved with flutes. Carved brown wood sheath decorated with a repeating scroll pattern at mouthpiece and chape.
    Provenance

    Recorded in the Catalogue of Arms at Carlton House with the note 'This krees [sic] is used by the Malays and the people of Malacca and all the Malaka Coast.' Later transferred to the North Corridor of Windsor Castle.
