An etching of Holy Roman Empress Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, wife of Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI. A half length portrait with face inclined left, wearing a diadem and a pearl-encrusted dress with puffed sleeves. She rests her left arm upon a cushion supporting a crown and sceptre. Beneath the image is the French inscription 'Elisabeth-Christine de Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Imperatrice d'Allemagne +1750.' The plate has been trimmed.
