  • Etching of the tombs of Mary of Burgundy and her father Charles the Bold, housed in the Church of Our Lady, Bruges. In the upper right corner of the print is the Latin inscription 'EFFIGIES Seren mi Principis CAROLI cognomento AVDACIS DVCIS BVRGVNDIAE COMITIS FLANDRIAE etc. Qui in hac aede Mariana materno simile monumentum habet', flanked by two angels. The first effigy features Charles the Bold wearing a crown, ermine-trimmed mantle and armour with a helmet and lion at his feet. The second effigy features Mary of Burgundy wearing a crown and a brocade mantle with a dog at her feet. Both have their hands clasped in prayer. Mary's tomb is decorated with angels and coats of arms. This print is one of the illustrations to Antonius Sanderus' 'Flandria Illustrata', published in 1641 by Joan Blaeu.
