A print of William Frederick Louis of Prussia, later Emeror Wilhelm I. The second son of the King of Prussia, William Frederick Louis began his military career in 1814, aged seventeen. He fought in the Prussian army under Blücher at Waterloo, where he commanded a cavalry corps. In this print, which shows the Prince some years after Waterloo, he wears the medal awarded to all Prussian combatants at the battle (second from left).
