A lobed circular porcelain dessert dish with two anthemion handles and a gilt gadrooned rim; dark blue border with six pale-yellow reserves painted with the Insignia of Russian Orders the badge of the Order of St Andrew at centre; circular foot with four gilt paw feet.
Provenance
Part of a dessert service commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1845 for presentation to the Russian Emperor Nicholas I, copying the 1833 William IV Worcester service, the English Insignia replaced by those of Russian Orders.
