A pair of large lobed circular silver-gilt sideboard dishs; the centre of each embossed and chased with a mythological scene - one showing the Triumph of Bacchus, the other the Triumph of Venus. The lobed border is embossed with single large flowers, each with a lion pelt surround. The dishes are engraved with the Royal coat of arms.
Provenance
The dishes were purchased by Queen Victoria from Stowe, in December 1872.
