An acrylic painting in three parts. Written to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012, Carol Ann Duffy’s poem The Thames, London, 2012 celebrates the River Thames throughout history, ending with reference to the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant in which, as part of the Jubilee celebrations, The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh sailed on a royal barge along the Thames as part of a flotilla of over 1,000 boats.
