Dorothea, daughter of Philip, Duke of Holstein-Glucksburg, married, in 1653, Christian Ludwig, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg (d. 1660), the eldest brother of Ernest Augustus, Elector of Hanover. In 1668, she married, as his second wife, Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg.
