In this portrait the Princess is painted with her head and shoulders facing to the left, in a low-cut white evening dress, with a rose at her breast. She is wearing the badge of the Order of Louise.
A pair to the portrait of her husband, Prince Frederick Charles of Prussia (RCIN 404895), this work is a copy after an original portrait by Von Angeli. It is signed and dated 'Nach d. Original v. H. v. Angeli 1876 / gem. v. A. Hindorf 1884' and is inscribed on the back to the same effect.Provenance
