Geometric turquoise porcelain vase (imitating an archaic Chinese bronze form) mounted on geometric gilt bronze base, reeded rim and loop cross-ribboned handles. Handles hang from mouths of two porcelain animals. Vase is square in section and bulbous about the middle. Two ovals modelled on body.The rectangular mouth above a rib and lion handles at each side, above two incised ovals and with concave sides, above a spreading rectangular foot. The top rim is fitted with a reeded rim with foliate corners, the handles with loose-hangin ribbon-tied reeded ovals, the foot sits in a reeded rectangular base with foliate corners and on Greek key feet with reeded panels between. Mount castings: the top rim apparently cast in one piece. The handles cast in two halves. The base is cast in one piece.

Possibly identifiable as Jutsham Deliveries November 1817 'No.9 A Case containing two small square Indian Jars light Blue ground mounted in Ormolu'; sent from Brighton to Buckingham Palace March 1847, 'A pair of small pale blue square... cisterns, four and a half inches'.
