Photograph of John Brown, the personal servant to Queen Victoria, standing in three quarter length and facing three-quarters to the right. He wears full Highland uniform consisting of a kilt, sporran and jacket. On his left breast he wears two medals; the Victoria Devoted Service Medal and the Faithful Servant Medal. He holds a cap in his right hand.
