Provenance
The clock was originally installed at the Royal Pavilion, Brighton, in 1818. It was removed from Brighton after Queen Victoria sold the Pavilion and installed in the new wing at Buckingham Palace in 1848. The stand and case were made from the timbers of a French frigate taken at the Battle of Trafalgar.
