The floor is covered in an Axminster carpet, on which is a round table covered with a velvet cloth and four chairs; a large gilt metal chandelier hangs over the table. There is a large overmantel mirror over the fireplace, which has a Remond mantel clock under a glass dome (RCIN 30017), a pair of candelabra (either RCINs 21691.1-2 or 21695.1-4); on either sides are long settees and footstools. On the left wall is a Franz Winterhalter portrait of Queen Victoria (RCIN 401413); a portrait of George III over a door and two portraits on either sides of the double doors. There is a cabinet with porcelain panels in the right corner of the room, and a marble statue of a child on a plinth, lit by the light from the window.
