Photograph of Clumber House featuring an arched portico on the central section of the house and gabled ends on the left of the building. On the right stands Clumber church, separated from the house by trees. In the foreground is a lake with stone balustrades leading down to the water.
Clumber House began construction during the 1750's and was the seat of the Dukes of Newcastle. Following a fire in the late 19th century, the house was eventually demolished in 1938. The park that surrounded the house is still open to visitors. -
