Photogravure of the representatives of rural provinces present at the coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia. A large group of men, some wearing military uniform, are standing around the edge of a courtyard. There is a building decorated with flags behind them to the left and other buildings can be seen in the distance. The coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia was held at the Kremlin on the 26 May 1896. The celebrations lasted for several weeks and were attended by representatives of Russian society as well as many foreign royals and dignitaries.
