Photograph of a full length group portrait of three children in fancy costume, standing, facing the camera. From left to right, Albert Van de Weyer (d. 1874) dressed as a guard, wearing military uniform and a bicorne hat, Victoria Van de Weyer (d. 1865), dressed as Jacqueline, wearing a dress with bonnet and Prince Albert Edward of Wales later King Edward VII (1841-1910), dressed as le Bailli, wearing a black wig, cloak and bicorne hat.
The children are acting out 'Les Deux Petits Savoyards'.
The 1892 carbon copy print is adhered over the top of the original albumen print.Provenance
