Photograph of Craigievar Castle built in the style of a tower house with turrets on the upper corners of the building. A drive leads up to the entrance from the right. A small, circular building with a tiled roof in the shape of a cone, stands in the left of the foreground. Trees in the background. Craigievar Castle was constructed in 1626 by William Forbes who was a successful merchant. It remained in the Forbes family until it was bequeathed to the National Trust in Scotland during the early 1960's.
