Fully bound red leather album with gilt tooling and titling on upper cover, containing 199 photographs (RCINs 2502417-2502919) of miscellaneous scenes 1850s-1890s, compiled by Prince Arthur Duke of Connaught who also wrote ink and pencil captions. The photographs relate to the Royal Engineers, and cover Woolwich, Chatham, Addiscombe, the Crimea 1855, Abyssinia (modern-day Ethiopia) 1868, Dublin 1876, Edinburgh including the unveiling of the Prince Consort's statue, Vancouver Island 1864 and Gibraltar 1876.
