Photograph of Mrs Duberly (1829-1903) mounted side saddle on a horse facing left with Captain Duberly standing by the head of the horse. Captain Duberly is wearing military uniform and Mrs Duberly a long dress and hat. There is open land behind them and a wooden stick in the ground to the right.
Captain Duberly was the Paymaster of the 8th Hussars and his wife Mrs Duberly travelled with him during the Crimean War. The journal she kept during her time in the Crimea was later published. -
