Photograph of a sailing boat moored on the mud at the side of the River Thames in the foreground. In the middle distance, two smaller sailing boats flank a larger, clipper like vessel with tall sails in the background. In the far background stand buildings, possibly the Royal Arsenal.
This photograph is a later carbon copy which is a process that is less susceptible to light damage, unlike the original albumen photograph that was prone to fading over time.Provenance
