Photograph after a painting by Franz Xaver Winterhalter of Victoria, Princess Royal. Her body is turned to the left of the photograph but her head faces the viewer. She is wearing an evening dress, necklace and the badge of the Order of Victoria and Albert on her left side. The photograph is adhered to a page in an album. 'Victoria Adelaide Mary Louisa' has been written in pink letters around the photograph.
Provenance
From an album belonging to Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge. The album was given to HM Queen Elizabeth II by the Duchess of Beaufort, and placed in the Photograph Collection on June 7th 1976.
