They are both facing the viewer. Princess Augusta is standing on the left of the photograph with both hands raised. Her left hand fingers touch her brother's chin. Prince George is standing on the right of the photograph. His right arm is raised and he holds back the curtain above his sister's head with his right hand. There are various objects lying on the floor. On the left of the photograph at the base of the curtain there is a ball, shuttlecock and a racket. On the right of the photograph, behind Prince George, there is a top hat with a small cane lying on top of the hat. The photograph is adhered to a page in an album which has been decorated with a drawing of two branches around the photograph. Above the photograph there is a red and blue monogram of interwoven letters. The letters are G and A for George and Augusta.
