Photograph of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (1841-1910) with a group of men and a tiger he had shot at Jhallana, near Jaipur. There are ten men arranged in a group, five seated on the ground and five leaning against the low wall behind. The Prince of Wales is sitting second from the left in the second row, holding a gun in his right hand. The tigress is laid out in front of them. There is a garden with trees behind.
This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, made of India in 1875-76.Provenance
