Photograph of Queen Victoria's Sitting Room, Windsor Castle. The room is filled with settees, tables, a grand piano by Erard (possibly RCIN 20717), a spinning wheel (possibly RCIN 34019, a gift from the Dowager Duchess of Athole to Queen Victoria in 1866), photographs in frames (for example the Prince and Princess of Wales on their wedding day), figurines, vases, and other small objects. There is a Sevres clock on the mantelpiece over the fireplace (RCIN 30029), a pair of candelabras (RCIN 1746.1-2) and other Sevres vases. There are royal portraits, some by Winterhalter (RCIN 400761, 404833, 400822, 4007177, 400616, 400765, 403119) and a hand-coloured photo of Prince Albert by Mayall, and Windsor Castle in Modern Times (RCIN 406903). In the near left corner is a Morel and Seddon table (RCIN 21234). This room was altered for George IV after the demolition of Carlton House.
