Silver filigree rattle of club form with a spiraling, twisted design of four stems with crockets and rosettes at the top and base of handle; bells suspended inside; with a dark blue leather case of conforming shape with an engraved label, lined with red silk.

Presented to the Royal Nursery by Lady Charlotte Finch, 1763; her daughter; by whom bequeathed to Princess Augusta (d.1840); passed to Princess Sophia (d.1848); passed to Princess Mary, Duchess of Gloucester; by whom presented to Queen Victoria 1848.
