A design for the decoration of a ceiling

This design for a ceiling has the arms of the Lenoncourt family at its centre. It is decorated with figures personifying virtues and vices, among them Jealousy, who bites himself, and Sloth, with a tortoise. The drawing had been split in two since at least the seventeenth century; the halves were reunited for this exhibition.
