- The safety and wellbeing of our visitors and staff are our priority. To allow everyone to enjoy their visit while maintaining social distancing we are operating with reduced visitor capacity. - You can visit The Queen's Gallery at your leisure using the complimentary multimedia guide, which lasts approximately 1 hour.
- Visitors and their belongings may be subject to security checks. Read more about security & luggage.
- You can take photographs in the Gallery. Read about photography, filming & mobile phones.
- Eating and drinking aren't allowed inside the Gallery, however refreshments are available at the Café at the Palace.
- Toilets and baby-care facilities are located in the Café at the Palace.
- For safety reasons, pushchairs cannot be taken into the Palace. They need to be checked in at the entrance and collected at the end of your visit. Read more about visiting with children.

There is a public car park adjacent to the Palace at Broad Pavement. Please visit the Historic Environment Scotland website for more details.
Accessible parking spaces are located on Horse Wynd, just outside the Palace, on a first-come first-serve basis.
By train
Edinburgh Waverley. The Queen's Gallery is a 15 minute walk from the station.
By tram
The nearest tram stop is York Place. The Queen’s Gallery is a 20 minute walk from the station. Visit Edinburgh Trams for times and fares.
By coach / bus
Bus numbers 6 and 35 stop near the Gallery. Open-top tour buses stop nearby.
Limited free coach parking is available adjacent to the Palace. Alternative pay-and-display coach parking is available on nearby Regent Road.

The Royal Collection contains some of the finest South Asian paintings and manuscripts in the world. Tracing more than 400 years of literary and artistic output, the exhibition offers new insights into the shared history of the British Monarchy and the Indian Subcontinent.

Coach parking
Free coach parking is available next to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and is accessible via Abbeyhill.
Guiding
Visitors can enjoy a free multimedia tour. Guiding isn't allowed in The Queen's Gallery.
What's on for groups
Access and mobility
The Queen's Gallery is fully accessible. Concessionary rates are available for you if you have a disability and a companion is admitted free of charge. In line with government policy you should, if you are not exempt, wear a face covering whilst inside the Gallery, shop and whilst ordering takeaway products from the Café.
Accessible toilets are available and can be visited without a ticket. A Changing Places is available at the Scottish Parliament, across the road. There is limited bench seating and registered assistance dogs are welcome. A number of Wardens are Dementia Friends.
