Tea service

Tea-drinking was extremely fashionable in Britain in this period. Teas imported from China or Japan were heavily taxed and the tea service was consequently of high value by association. This elegant service belonged to Frederick, Prince of Wales. Probably acquired by Frederick, Prince of Wales Cat. 271
