Film - Two Earls and an Architect

Join Rufus Bird, Deputy Surveyor of The Queen's Works of Art at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace, as he examines how the arrival of a new dynasty on the throne of Great Britain provided an opportunity for a new national style to emerge, and how this new style manifested itself in architecture and interior decoration and came to define the early years of the eighteenth century in Britain.

This lecture was recorded on Wednesday, 25 June 2014 at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace to accompany the exhibition The First Georgians: Art and Monarchy 1714-1760
