Mythology & Putti

Including several sixteenth-century prints after Raphael's designs

In these portfolios are a number of prints by Raphael’s collaborator Marcantonio Raimondi and other important sixteenth-century printmakers such as Giulio Bonasone, Ugo da Carpi and Marco Dente. Some of these reproduce lost designs by Raphael, such as Raimondi’s engraving of The Judgement of Paris. Also included here are photographs and prints after Raphael’s copy of a lost Leonardo composition of Leda and the Swan, and a number of works after designs attributed to Raphael depicting putti.
