By coach / bus

Green Line 702 service operates daily services from Greenline Coach Station, London which is near Victoria station.

This Christmas, treat your family to an exceptionally special after hours event inside the glittering State Apartments. Beneath the breathtaking Christmas tree in St George’s Hall, travel with our storyteller on a captivating journey through Christmas past at Windsor Castle. You are then invited to step onto Aladdin’s magic carpet for an exhilarating pop-up pantomime in the Waterloo Chamber, exactly where The Queen performed wartime pantomimes when a princess.

Practical information

  • This special event is intended for children over 5 and their families.
  • Please ensure you allow yourself enough time to enter the Castle via the Admission Centre, go through security and walk up to the State Apartments. This walk is uphill and will take approximately 5-10 minutes. The Admission Centre will close 10 minutes before your performance start time. Due to the unique location of the performances, latecomers cannot be admitted.
  • The first half of the event will take place beneath the Christmas tree in St George's Hall. Seating will be available for adults and older children, and cushions and a soft carpet for younger children.
  • After a brief pause, the second half of the event will take place in the Waterloo Chamber. Seating will be available for adults and older children, and cushions and a soft carpet for younger children.
  • All seats are unallocated.
  • Each performance will last approximately 90 minutes.
  • Mobile telephones must be left in the secure cloakroom.
  • Food and drink cannot be consumed in the State Apartments. There will be no refreshments available.
  • Please note, photography will take place on Saturday 8 December. Filming may take place on Friday 7 and Sunday 9 December.
