 Anna Reynolds, Senior Curator of Paintings, reveals how portraiture in England developed from the reigns of Henry VIII to Charles II led by artists such as Holbein and Van Dyck.  Following the lecture, Anna will take you to into the State Apartments to provide you with a close-up view of examples on display.   This is the first in a series exploring the development of portraiture through the centuries.
