Recent research has challenged the established view of Oliver Cromwell's puritan hostility to the visual arts. Not only did he reserve part of the Royal Collection after the execution of Charles I, artists created portraits of him modelled on those of the late king. Dr Richard Williams, Learning Curator at Windsor Castle, looks beyond the 'warts and all' view of this divisive figure.

Live speech-to-text will be provided.
