The Mughals created lavish Muraqqas or "patchwork" albums to showcase the work of contemporary and earlier master artists. Drawings Conservator, Rachael Smith, will introduce the Islamic arts of calligraphy, painting, paper marbling, dyeing, gold decoration and decoupage and explain the albums’ complex construction.
