By car

There is no visitor car parking at the Castle, so we recommend you use public car parks in the town centre. Details about parking can be found on

By train

The nearest stations are 'Windsor & Eton Central' or 'Windsor & Eton Riverside'.  Visit National Rail Enquiries for times and fares.

By coach / bus

Green Line 702 service operates daily services from Greenline Coach Station which is near Victoria station, London.

Surbiton Coaches runs a shuttle bus service between Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace from spring to autumn. 

Tour companies operate excursions to Windsor Castle from many London hotels. For details, please ask your hotel concierge.

  • All the events over the weekend are included in your standard admission ticket to Windsor Castle. No separate booking for activities is required.

Meet experts in conservation from across the Castle, who will be on hand throughout the State Apartments and St George's Chapel to share their extraordinary work with visitors. Whether repairing delicate porcelain, applying gold leaf, or restoring paintings, the conservators' skills can reveal fascinating insights into the Royal Collection and interior of Windsor Castle.

There are no timed events, the experts will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions about the work they do and show you up-close some of the fascinating objects in their care.
