Join us for this creative course in which artist Hiroko Imada will guide you to create a woodblock print in colour. Inspired by the print, Buckingham Palace, London, seen across Green Park by Makino Yoshio, this course will teach you to depict your own London scene. This course employs contemporary techniques to create a design as Makino Yoshio would have done. You will also learn bokashi, a technique for achieving a gradation of tone in a colour or multiple colours.

The course will take place from Monday 23 - Friday 27 January at The Prince's School of Traditional Arts. Your ticket also includes a private, curator-led visit to the Japan: Courts and Culture exhibition at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace from 18:30 - 20:00 on Monday 23rd January.

The income from your ticket contributes directly to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity. The aims of The Royal Collection Trust are the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational activities.
