Join us for an evening exploring the shared history of the British monarchy and India as revealed in Eastern Encounters: Four Centuries of Paintings and Manuscripts from the Indian Subcontinent, now on display at The Queen’s Gallery, Edinburgh.

Exhibition curator Emily Hannam will discuss the personal encounters between British monarchs and the rulers of South Asia and share her favourite works of art in the exhibition, from Mughal miniatures to a modern masterpiece. This in-conversation will also shed light on how the exhibition came about, the sophisticated conservation methods used to prepare the works for display and the exciting collaboration with award-winning poet Imtiaz Dharker.
