Peter the Great and his successors ensured that music was an integral part of court life and, with the construction of the Hermitage Theatre, Catherine the Great further consolidated this. Ashley Solomon together with students from the Historical Performance Faculty at the Royal College of Music present an evening of music, including works by Paisiello, Galuppi, Cimarosa and Sarti. Includes a complimentary glass of wine.

The programme for the evening will include:

Johann Christian Bach (1735-1782)            Quintett in D major Op.11 No.6
