Edinburgh Waverley. The Queen's Gallery is a 15-minute walk from the station.

By coach / bus

Bus numbers 6 and 35 stop near the Gallery.  Open-top tour buses stop nearby.

Coach parking is provided free of charge.

Join us for an in-depth exploration of the historical aspects of gardening and Edinburgh's most celebrated gardens in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh and the Sir Robert Sibbald Physic Garden. The day begins with a curatorial tour of the Painting Paradise exhibition and the garden at the Palace of Holyroodhouse – the site of the original Edinburgh physic garden – and continues with further talks, walks and demonstrations at the RBGE and Royal College of Physician libraries and gardens. Ticket includes refreshments and travel between sites.

This exhibition draws on oil paintings, works on paper, books, manuscripts and decorative arts from the Royal Collection to explore the way in which the garden inspired artists and craftsmen between 1500 and 1900.
