Windsor community programme

Windsor Castles welcomes visits from local communities. Discover how the Castle is used by The Queen today when carrying out official engagements.  These visits are free for pre-arranged local and disadvantaged community groups.

The Crimson Drawing Room

The Crimson Drawing Room is one of the Semi-State Rooms, used regularly by The Queen for private events. Open to visitors for part of the year, it boasts spectacular views across the Berkshire countryside. The room was returned to its former glory after being devastated by the fire of 1992.
