The Prince met with several Indian rulers at Government House, in Calcutta. Here the Prince sits with Sultana Jehan, the Begum of Bhopal, who is wearing a veil. Bartle Frere and Dighton Probyn are on the left with the Begum’s daughter. One of the Begum’s nephews and an interpreter, are seated on the right.
