A photograph of the three-tier wedding cake of King George V (1865-1936) when Prince George, Duke of York and Queen Mary (1867-1953) when Princess Mary, Duchess of York. This elaborate cake sits on a silver stand covered with white roses, miniature cladiums and asparagus fern. There are also lovers' knots of silver cord and shields with monograms and coats of arms of the bride and groom.
