The Royal Collection contains 40 albums of photographs compiled by Queen Alexandra’s second daughter, Princess Victoria. This page features photographs of the Russian and British royal families. A group portrait in the lower left corner, taken in 1898, depicts Queen Victoria with family members, including Prince George, Duke of York (later King George V). The page is of particular interest for its combination of different photographic processes including two cyanotypes, one of which portrays Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna of Russia with her children Princess Irina and Prince Andrei.
