The most successful Zeppelin raid on London occurred on 8 September 1915. Nearly all of the damage was done by L13, led by Kommander Mathy. The monetary damage of this raid was a sixth of the total damage inflicted by bombing raids during the war. Targets hit included textile warehouses near St Paul's Cathedral and Liverpool Street Station.

This oil pump was found near Adisham Railway Station in Kent and it is believed that it was dropped from L13 on 6 March 1916. It was found embedded in the soil by a railway worker.
